Write your first blog post – How I earn 600 EUR monthly with just one blog post

With this blog post I have earned an average of 600 EUR in the last 6 months.

It wasn’t my first blog post though, it was number 29, but that’s exactly why I would like to share my experience with you to make your first blog post a success.

How and with which tools I managed to do that and how you can also generate an income like that, you will learn in this article.

And you will learn how to generate the maximum organic traffic for your blog.

Writing a perfect and successful blog post for is not easy. It takes a lot of time, research and good execution. However, for many, the effort and energy put into the blog post is not rewarded. Why is that?

My answer: Because of the process, lack of SEO knowledge and the lack of use of tools.

It is no longer enough to write a text, fill it with your keyword and then wait for visitors to find your blog. If your content isn’t good enough, no one will read it, let alone find it. No, there is much more to a really successful and good blog post.

Finding and recognizing opportunities, making the right keyword choices, understanding and serving reader intent, writing your content in a structured and search engine optimized way, incorporating graphics and/or videos, placing internal as well as external links, all the way to analyzing and updating your blog posts.

Writing the perfect first blog post is a difficult and time-consuming task, but with AI and other tools at your disposal, it can be easier than ever.

You don’t need to be a writer or SEO expert, you don’t need any special skills or experience – just follow this step-by-step guide and you’ll see how your blog posts will improve in Google ranking, your traffic will increase and you’ll be able to generate more revenue with it.

And all of this knowledge is absolutely free for you! All I ask is that you link and share this guide with others who could also benefit from this process and tools, once you see how easy this process really is and if this blog post has helped you along! That way, everyone wins!

So let’s get going.

All about the first blog post that earns me over 600 EUR per month

Yes, you can still earn money with your own blog.

The Biggest AI Text Generator Comparison – Best SEO Text Generators 2023 is one of my most successful blog posts to date.

Revenue is generated mainly through affiliate commissions, no advertising, no sponsorship.

Traffic is generated purely organically, about 600 visitors a month, and rising. This is supported by onsite as well as offsite SEO techniques, such as building a topic cluster and link building. I don’t run ads or use social media.

I blog in the SaaS niche with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, among other topics. Here the affiliate commission is around 30% and is paid on a recurring subscription, monthly until the customer quits the deal. Therefore, with each new month, my affiliate income usually increases.

Below, I’ll show you the process and tools I use to make sure my blog posts generate income.

Writing the first blog post – The great step by step guide

Step 1: Find your gold nugget

Before you start writing, it’s important to find a good opportunity for your blog post. What do I mean by that?

An opportunity is a niche, topic or keyword that generates traffic, links and revenue for your blog.

An opportunity is a topic that is in trend, that interests more and more people and will become more and more important in the future. It’s a topic not many blogs and websites have written about yet, and a topic that hasn’t been discovered by the big guys in the industry (or is still too small for them)

Current events, new products or developments can be good opportunities to write blog posts.

But how do you find these opportunities?

The free alternative is Google Alerts.

Follow the link, enter your search term, and get automatic notifications when new content is posted on your next topic.

While this method is good for keeping yourself updated, it says nothing about the trend. But again, Google has an answer.

Enter your topic in“Google Trends” to see how popular it is over time. That way you can determine if it’s worth writing about or not.

But if you really want to be fast and find trends up to 6 months before the actual boom, I recommend Exploding Topics Pro.

Through the tool, I have already found some trends and have managed to reach the top 10 in Google with a new blog post in no time.

Exploding Topics can be tested for 1 USD for 14 days.

Step 2: Find a SUCCESS Keyword

Trends are crucial to giving you a first-mover advantage and can really catapult your business and organic traffic to your blog post.

Once a trend is identified, the next essential step is to find out what people are really asking and looking for.

Good keyword research is the key here!

And a good tool is indispensable for this.

You should be able to find out the following information with a good tool:

  1. What words and phrases people use to find blog articles on your topic (keywords)
  2. How many monthly search queries there are for each keyword
  3. The competitiveness of each keyword, i.e. how difficult it is to rank high in the Google SERPs with a particular blog post or website

The best keyword research tool for me, is the keyword finder from Mangools*.

No other tool has such an accurate competitor assessment!

Step 3: Understand the seeker’s intention

The last step before you start writing is an essential one for your blog. After you’ve found your success keyword, you still need to figure out what the intent behind that search query is. So the answer to the question: What does the seeker want to find?

You don’t need an expensive tool to do this, just type your keyword into Google and analyze the top 10. You should find enough blog posts and ideas here.

The best keywords are so-called “transactional” keywords. In other words, keywords with a commercial intent or the last step before a purchase decision is made.

Read more here.

Step 4: Plan your first blog post

You want to get into the top 10 search results with your blog post. That’s clear.

But what makes your blog post better than all the others?

You always hear the same thing from many SEO experts: Content and backlinks.

You want to write the best fitting content out there to your keyword. Backlinks are the links that your site receives from other websites.

But how can you make sure you’re creating the best, most comprehensive content possible?

2 options: free but time consuming research of the Google top results for your keyword by analyzing each search result in detail on the subtopics, keywords and structure or let a tool do the work for you.

Surfer SEO* is magic!

It provides you with an evaluation of all search results for a keyword at the push of a button, from the optimal length of your content to the structure. It shows you how many and which subheadings to work out, as well as a detailed list of all the keywords, and the optimal number to use in your blog post.

In the beginning I did everything myself and got no results. Using Surfer SEO has not only saved me an incredible amount of time, it has also given me better results. The tool is worth every single penny.

And the best: you can try it risk-free for up to 30 days*.

Step 5: Writing your first blog post

Up to here, you have the basics to write a perfect first blog post.

Now it’s about creating the masterpiece, in a form that adds value for the reader while being engaging.

Many bloggers and content managers see this part as the heart of their work, where all their soul and lifeblood goes into, as everyone has and follows their own style after all.

For those who are convinced that you can’t optimize this, feel free to move on to step 6.

For everyone else, here’s a way to speed up the blog post writing process up to 10x!

Yes, that’s right, you can write your blog posts up to 10x faster, with the use of artificial intelligence.

I have tested the best tools on the market and my favorite is clearly Jasper.AI.

You can read more about the results of my review in my article: Jasper AI: Blogging up to 10x faster thanks to artificial intelligence.

And this development is huge!

Jasper writes texts that not only search engines but also people like to read, because the generated texts are so good that you can no longer distinguish whether the article was written by a machine or a human.

You can use it to write blog posts, product descriptions, or even entire books.

The texts are SEO optimized, plagiarism-free and it works in most languages.

50,000 bloggers and content creators use the tool, love it, and give it an average 4.8 out of 5 rating.

Try it out for yourself* (5 days money back guarantee, Hint: Only Bossmode contains all the features you are looking for)*.

Step 6: SEO optimize your first blog post

Your text is ready, the rough diamond is in your hands. Now it still needs to be sanded.

If you have used Jasper.ai, you can directly open Surfer SEO to see where optimization is still needed.

Otherwise, you can load your text into Surfer SEO to get the final touches, adjust keywords again, add more subheadings, etc.

Pro tip: If you don’t have enough subheadings, end your blog post with FAQ’s. This way you can cover many of the open topics without disturbing the reading flow of your visitors.

You can find more information about SEO here or also at ithelps-digital.com

Step 7: Review your blog post

Here you have to focus on 2 aspects: Plagiarism check and spelling. If you used Jasper.AI, the blogpost is already 99% plagiarism-free, but I still check the text with the built-in interface to Copyscpape.

As for spelling, I recommend the. LanguageTool. This is a browser plugin that checks every word in your blog post to make sure it doesn’t contain any errors or typos.

For English texts in particular, Grammarly the tool of my choice, because it is additionally very strong in grammar checking.

Step 8: Design your blog post

A post is not a book. Keep it interesting, refreshing, use images and graphics with refreshing design.

The best and cheapest tool is definitely Canva*.

In the Pro version you not only get a very easy to use graphics software but also the license for images for commercial use.

Step 9: Link and publish your first blog post

Very important for a search engine is to understand how it should rank your article. Internal linking is particularly helpful in this regard.

For example, I always use the section at the end: other articles you might be interested in and list thematically related posts there.

Furthermore I adapt already published posts, in which I link the new article there also.

Also, make sure to anchor the post in your menu.

After publishing, I then directly use the indexing query in Google Search Console. This way you can get your blog post indexed quickly.

Step 10: Advertise your blog post

You may proceed directly to step 11.

If you follow the steps above, you’ll see that even without spending money on advertising, you’ll get organic traffic with your newfound top Google ranking position. And better yet, if you’ve done everything right, these visitors will also bring a better conversion rate than visitors from social networks, via advertising or online marketing.

Step 11: Build External Links

Yes, this is still true. In addition to excellent content, you won’t be able to avoid building backlinks from sites with high domain rating for competitive keywords.

This is where I recommend you roll up your sleeves and organize and write guest posts.

Those who want to make their work easier can enter into a link exchange cooperation with other bloggers. 2 models make sense, build each other links in external guest articles to the other business partner, either in exchange for links or payment.

Step 12: Analyze your result

Easiest step and free of charge: Google Search Console.

More efficient and therefore time-saving: Rank Math Pro*.

I don’t know of any tool that gives you quicker and clearer information about which keywords you rank for on Google, what the click numbers and impressions are for these and which shows you how the ranking has developed over the last 6 months.

Try Rank Math*

Step 13: Update your blog posts

Google loves it when you keep your posts up to date.

For this I use the audit function of Surfer SEO 3-6 months after publishing. This allows me to once again compare exactly where I stand in relation to the competition in Google and can then decide whether I should add more content or work more on backlinks.

Conclusion
